The beach has earned Blue Flag status, indicating its high environmental and safety standards and making it very well-suited for little ones. The waters are shallow and lifeguards are often on duty during the peak season, adding an extra layer of safety.

Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the English Channel, with the Isle of Wight visible on clear days. The surrounding cliffs and greenery add to the scenic beauty, making it a great spot for photography. Plus, Durley Chine is often quieter and less crowded than other Westbourne beaches, providing a more relaxed atmosphere, especially during weekdays and off-peak seasons.

ACCESS: To reach the beach by car, head southeast on Poole Road (A35) towards Bournemouth town center. After about a mile, turn right onto Durley Chine Road South. There is a car park at Durley Chine (Durley Chine Car Park), close to the beach. It can fill up quickly in peak season, so arriving early is advisable. Parking is also available at West Hill Car Park or along West Cliff Road. Alternatively, if you're on the promenade, you can walk along the beach towards Durley Chine from either Bournemouth Pier to the east or Alum Chine to the west.
Durley Chine Beach has good accessibility features, including ramps and pathways that make it easier for those with mobility issues to enjoy the seaside experience.
FACILITIES: The beach offers a range of facilities, including a café right on the beachfront, toilets, and beach huts available for hire. Some parts of Durley Chine Beach are dog-friendly, allowing pet owners to enjoy the beach with their furry companions, especially in the off-peak season.
