Located north of the River Stour, Christchurch Quay is a popular leisure spot, always with something to do or see. Only a short walk away from the town centre, this Green Flag winning space is a beautiful place to visit, and provides a wide variety of facilities for kids and adults alike.
Since the 1920s, Christchurch Quay has been a hub for leisure activity. Lying beside the banks of the River Stour, the combination of natural beauty and fun-filled activities has made it a popular location for locals and visitors alike for over a century.
Along the riverside promenade, you can expect to see the wonderful splashpark and play park that make Christchurch Quay so ideal for families. Kayaking, boat trips and boats for hire allow for more nature-filled excursions down the River Stour, and the nearby toilets and parking ensure that there is everything required for a lovely day-out. Whilst the 1930s bandstand is charming to visit all-year-round, in summer it really comes alive, with the Stompin on the Quomps music festival occuring annually.
And if music isn't for you, the acclaimed Christchurch Food Festival, Christchurch Carnival and Classical Cars on the Quay events also take place throughout the year, guaranteeing something for everyone. Paired with the delicious food at The Boathouse and The Old Mill Tearooms, as well as the Art gallery at the restored Anglo-Saxon watermill, Place Mill, the Quay offers a bonanza of activity and excitement for any visitor.

Parking can easily be found at Mayors Mead car park, and the parking spaces on Quay Road. Car parking is also available at Priory Car Park adjacent to Place Mill.
