Located just at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour, Mudeford Quay is host to spectacular views out to sea, as well as plenty of activities to enjoy.
From crabbing to watersports, Mudeford Quay has a wide range of activities on offer, as well as facilities to cater to visitor's needs.
Mudeford Quay is host to numerous events throughout the year, such as dinghy championships, seafood festivals, and the annual Mudeford Arts Festival. Mackeral fishing trips and speed boat cruises operate from the quay, and the waters surrounding it are perfect for sailing and windsurfing throughout the year. Particuarly with families, crabbing is very popular, and nets, buckets, and bait can be bought from a shop at the Quay's end. Similarly ideal for children, Mudeford Quay playground and Avon Beach are also nearby, and the beautiful Mudeford Sandbank Beach is just a short ferry trip from the quay.
There are toilets (including for people with disabilities) and baby-changing facilities along the quay, as well as a lifeboat station to protect visitors from the strong currents. If during the day you find yourself getting hungry, The Haven House Inn and The Noisy Lobster Restaurant offers delicious food (as well as a gift shop at the former).
Parking
Beside the quay is Avon Beach car park (99 spaces), open 9am to 9pm each day. Just a 5 minute walk away is Avon Run Road car park (222 spaces) for any additional parking.
