Car Nights on Poole Quay returns for summer 2026, bringing a different collection of cars to Poole’s waterfront every Friday evening throughout July and August. From British classics and supercars to American hot rods, Minis, Japanese cars and air-cooled Volkswagens, each week has its own theme. Visitors can wander along the Quay, admire the vehicles and enjoy the atmosphere alongside Poole Harbour, with plenty of nearby pubs, restaurants and cafés for an evening out.

Car Nights on Poole Quay is a summer-long celebration of motoring, with a different group of vehicles taking over the historic waterfront each Friday evening.
Owners bring their cars onto the Quay while visitors can walk among the displays, chat to fellow enthusiasts and see everything from classic British cars to supercars and unusual specialist vehicles against the backdrop of Poole Harbour.
The event is organised by Poole Quay Events and sponsored by Poole BID.

Each week gives the event a noticeably different feel, so car enthusiasts may want to visit more than once during the summer.
Owners whose vehicles fit that evening's theme can receive free entry onto the quayside to display their vehicle.
Anyone planning to exhibit rather than simply attend as a spectator should check the latest information from the organisers before travelling, particularly regarding arrival arrangements and access onto the Quay.
One of the advantages of Car Nights is its location. Poole Quay has a large choice of waterfront pubs, restaurants, cafés and food outlets, allowing visitors to combine the event with dinner or drinks.

Visitors who are not displaying a car should use one of the public car parks around Poole town centre and walk to the Quay.
Quay Visitors Multi-Storey Car Park, BH15 1SB is one of the closest larger options. It is open 24 hours and has up to 539 standard spaces plus 16 disabled spaces. The current evening charge from 6pm to 8am is £2.60.

Poole Quay is within walking distance of Poole town centre, the bus station and Poole railway station.
Because the event occupies part of the waterfront and attracts both display vehicles and spectators, allowing additional time to park and walk to the event is sensible on busy summer evenings.

The 2026 event runs for nine Friday evenings, beginning on 3 July and finishing with Japanese Car Night on 28 August. Each event runs from 6pm until 9pm.
