Perched majestically on Bournemouth's golden coastline, the Bournemouth International Centre has been the beating heart of the town's entertainment scene since it first opened its doors in 1984. The venue boasts multiple spaces that cater to every conceivable gathering, from intimate meetings in the Solent Suite to the grandeur of the main auditorium. The crown jewel is undoubtedly the 6,000-capacity main hall, which has welcomed everyone from international political conferences to sold-out concerts by global superstars.
Sitting pretty on Exeter Road, it enjoys an enviable position between Bournemouth's bustling town centre and the pristine stretch of award-winning beach. Bournemouth Central Station is a pleasant 15-minute walk away, whilst the town's excellent bus network stops practically at the front door. For those driving, there's ample parking available, though do book ahead during peak times because everyone wants to park by the sea.
The building has been designed with mobility in mind, featuring step-free access throughout, dedicated wheelchair spaces in all performance areas, and accessible toilet facilities. Hearing loops are installed across the venue, and large print programmes are available upon request. The staff are particularly well-trained in assisting visitors with additional needs, and the venue actively encourages advance contact for anyone requiring specific arrangements.
