It may only be September, but one of Dorset’s longest-running Christmas traditions is already preparing to welcome families back.
Santa’s Winter Wonderland will return to Stewarts Garden Centres in Christchurch and Broomhill from 21 November to 24 December 2026, with tickets now available to book online.
Stewarts has been welcoming families to its Winter Wonderland for around 40 years, making it a familiar part of Christmas for generations of Dorset children.
Santa’s elves guide visitors through a snowy walkway filled with festive scenes and the miniature shops of the Elf Village. The journey leads to Santa’s Grotto, where families can meet Father Christmas before children visit the Elves’ Toy Store to choose a present.
Professional photographs with Santa are available for an additional charge, although purchasing a photograph is optional.
The live reindeer previously associated with the experience have now retired and will not form part of the 2026 event.

Children over six months require a full child ticket. Everyone entering the Winter Wonderland must have a ticket, including adults and babies.

Make sure the correct location is selected when booking. Tickets are only valid at the garden centre, date and arrival time stated on the booking.
Stewarts will run a selection of quieter SEN sessions for children who may benefit from a calmer and more personalised visit.
The Winter Wonderland experience will have no loud music or flashing lights during these sessions. Visitor numbers will also be reduced, and families can request support from an elf during the walkway.

Although the Winter Wonderland itself will be adapted, the wider garden centres remain open as normal and their Christmas departments may still contain music and flashing lights.

Families do not have to book the full Santa experience to enjoy some of the festive displays.
Stewarts’ free Christmas selfie walkway will return with seasonal photo opportunities including a gingerbread house, Santa’s sleigh and elf-themed displays surrounded by decorated Christmas trees.
The walkway is free for all ages and can be visited independently or before or after a booked Winter Wonderland experience.
General Winter Wonderland tickets must be purchased through the official Stewarts booking website. Tickets cannot be bought from unauthorised third-party sellers.
Bookings are made for a particular garden centre, date and 15-minute arrival slot. Visitors should therefore check their selected location and time carefully before completing the booking.
Bookings can usually be changed or cancelled through the link contained in the confirmation email. At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations, and an administration fee may apply if Stewarts makes the change on the visitor’s behalf.
Only assistance dogs are permitted inside Santa’s Winter Wonderland.
