Wide, clean and sandy, the picturesque Southbourne Beach is an attractive retreat for visitors and locals alike, and an excellent place for escaping the hustle and bustle of other beaches.
Convenient for any visitor, Southbourne Beach includes facilities such as information offices, first aid posts, lost children centres, baby changing facilities, and toilets for disabled people, helping to keep it accessible for all. Its seasonal RNLI service and LV=Kidzone scheme makes it ideal for young families, and the beach offers a host of amenities where you can refresh yourself or simply have fun.
It has plenty of opportunities for different watersports, such as kayaking, jetskiing or surfing. You can expect to see cafes, kiosks and restaurants all along the beachfront, and it's easily accessible from the charming Fisherman's Walk Trail or the Fisherman's Walk Cliff Railway just on the clifftop bordering the beach.
Parking
Along the clifftop road, free on-road parking is available all day (Southbourne Coast Road and Southbourne Overcliff Drive), however Warren Edge car park (180 spaces), which is just off Southbourne Coast Road, is also very close for busier days.
