Pumpkin picking begins: 10 October 2026

Gullivers Farm has confirmed that its pick-your-own pumpkin field will open from Saturday 10 October 2026.
Visitors can walk through rows of pumpkins in different colours, shapes and sizes before choosing their favourites to take home. Entry to the pumpkin field is free, although the pumpkins you select must be purchased separately.
The farm is also holding Pumpkin Fest every Saturday and Sunday during October. These weekend events will include pumpkin picking, children’s crafts, games, family activities, live music and food and drink stalls.
Gullivers is a working organic farm operated by Sturts Community Trust. Money spent at the farm helps support its work with adults who have additional support needs.
The farm shop is generally open from 9am until 4pm, seven days a week, with the kitchen serving food until 3pm. Check the event information before travelling in case separate pumpkin-field hours are introduced.

Gorcombe Farm opens its pumpkin patch from 1 October, running from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the month.
The field contains pumpkins in numerous shapes, sizes and colours, with equipment provided to help visitors carry their choices. The pumpkin-picking experience is positioned close to the farm café, making it easy to stop for refreshments during the visit.
The farm also adds seasonal decorations, photograph opportunities and family surprises around the pumpkin field. However, exact 2026 opening times and pumpkin prices are not currently displayed, so contact the farm or check its website immediately before visiting.

North Farm near Wimborne has previously opened a colourful pick-your-own field filled with pumpkins and gourds. Wheelbarrows have been available, while visiting food businesses have attended on selected dates.
The farm has not yet published its complete pumpkin-picking programme for October 2026.

Parley Pumpkin Patch is another popular seasonal option for families living around Bournemouth, Christchurch and East Dorset.
Previous events have combined a field of pumpkins with children’s games, inflatables, trampolines and seasonal food. Dogs have also previously been permitted when kept on leads.
Its 2026 dates, opening hours and prices have not yet been confirmed. We will update this guide when the organiser publishes the new programme.

Dewflock Farm’s previous autumn events have offered much more than an ordinary visit to a pumpkin field.
Families have been able to explore the pumpkins and maize maze, meet farm animals and enjoy straw play, a bouncy castle and face painting. An indoor barn has provided some shelter when the weather has been poor.
The farm has not yet released its official 2026 pumpkin dates and prices.

Washingpool Farm is a working family farm located close to Bridport and West Bay. It grows a broad selection of fruit and vegetables and has previously welcomed visitors into its pumpkin field during October.
Its 2026 pick-your-own pumpkin dates have not yet been officially published. The farm shop remains a useful place to purchase locally grown produce, but contact the team before travelling if you specifically want to pick pumpkins.

Sopley Farm is regularly associated with Christchurch, although it is technically situated just across the Dorset border in Hampshire.
The farm grows pumpkins for picking during October alongside its other seasonal fruit and vegetables. Visitors can usually collect a wheelbarrow, explore the field and pay for their chosen pumpkins according to the farm’s current prices.
