At the harbours entrance and west of Christchurch Bay, white, sandy Mudeford Beach is a beautiful stop that offers a variety of amenities sure to improve your visit.

There is no lifeguard service at Mudeford Beach.

Dog Friendly?

Dogs are allowed all year round, making it one of the most pet-friendly locations, but dogs are advised to be on a lead near the nature reserve.


Facilities

You can find dog-friendly or accessible toilets, baby changing stations and showers all along Mudeford Beach. Its passenger ferry to the harbour is fun for any sightseer, and the well-known Beach House Café is perfect for grabbing a bite to eat. To get back to the nearby Hengistbury Head car park, the land train is an exciting way to do so, even offering a wheelchair carriage for disabled visitors. 

Parking

Mudeford Quay car park (448 spaces) is just across from the beach, and one ferry ride across takes you directly to Mudeford Beach. If you don't fancy a ferry ride, The Broadway car park (700 spaces) beside the Hengistbury Head nature reserve is just a short walk (or land train ride) away from the beach.
