Highcliffe Beach is a wonderful stretch of shingle and sand, boardered by grassy dunes, cliffs, and greenery. A favourite of swimmers, surfers and body boarders, it offers spectacular, panoramic views of the ocean and distant Isle of Wight. Paired with cafes and refreshments dotted along it, and its proximity to Highcliffe Castle, it's a lovely spot for a day out.

RNLI Lifeguard Services?
From 9th July to 4th September, you can expect to see lifeguards patrolling 10am to 6pm.
Dog Friendly?
Dogs are allowed off-lead on most of the beach all year round, but are banned between groynes H8 and H11 from 1st May to 30th September.
Accessible via paved and gravel paths down from the cliff, the sand and shingle Highcliffe Beach offers plenty of facilities to cater to visitor needs.
You can find numerous cafes, restaurants, and ice-cream kiosks on or near to Highcliffe Beach, ideal for refreshments or grabbing a bite to eat, such as the excellent Beach Hut Cafe or Cliffhanger Restaurant. It has toilets (including disabled ones and baby changing stations) on the cliff top beside the Cliffhanger Restaurant.
Parking
Highcliffe Top car park has 424 spaces and is just on the cliff beside the beach. Alternatively, Highcliffe Castle car park is also close to the beach and has 130 spaces available.
