Dog Friendly?
Dogs are allowed at Hengistbury Head, but need to be well-behaved and respectful of the wildlife and animals in the nature reserve.
Accessible from either a 3.7 mile trail, or the characterful land train that runs between Hiker Cafe and Mudeford Beach, Hengistbury Head has a variety of visitor provisions on its stunning site.
As well as the land train and the cosy Hiker Cafe, Hengistbury Head Beach also has toilets both ends of the site (including some for people with disablities), and a delightful Visitor Centre with twelve millennia of information on the history, flora, and fauna of the archealogically significant coastline.
Parking
The Broadway car park (700 spaces) is located in the nature reserve adjacent to the beach. In case additional parking is needed, Solent Beach car park is only slightly further away, and has 580 spaces.
