Running from 27th to 31st October, this Poole gem on Wareham Road is pulling out all the stops with their "Soak-a-Spook" tractor rides, Halloween hunt and "Snotbags Disco". At £20 for park admission (under 2s free, 2-year-olds £11), it's brilliant value for a full day of Halloween madness. Don't forget to bring costumes!

On 25th October, The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth transforms into something rather spectacular. Picture 2,500 costumed revellers descending on Lansdowne for an electronic music festival that promises to be absolutely electric. Five venues, each with themed rooms and full Halloween décor, plus walkabout characters breathing fire and stalking about on stilts – it's like something from a Tim Burton fever dream, but in the best possible way. Starting from just £5, it's ridiculously good value for what sounds like a proper night out. The lineup is still to be announced.
