Founded in 1970, Christchurch Life Saving Club teaches lifeguarding and first aid skills, with members 6-60+. The age sections are large nippers (6-12), junior (12-16), senior (16-40), and masters (40+). They train for Lifeguarding awards, as well as entering competitions throughout the year. It is a great way to give back to the local community, as well as raising money for charity.

There is chance to complete the SLSGB Surf Lifeguard Award, SLSGB National Surf Safety Award, and STA Pool Lifeguard certificate. Membership is £25 annually.
