Boscombe Beach - Bournemouth

Boscombe Beach, a 1950s style resort turned activity-packed escape, is a wonderful place to spend the day. From mini golf, to climbing boulders, to surfing, there's sure to be something for you to enjoy. 

RNLI Lifeguard Services?

From 27th May to 3rd September, you can expect to see lifeguards patrolling 10am to 6pm.

Dog Friendly?

There is a dog-friendly portion of the beach where dogs are allowed all year round, however for the rest of the beach, dogs are not allowed on the beach between 1st May and 30th September, and must be kept on a lead when on the promenade.

Just east of Christchurch Bay, Boscombe Beach offers a multitude of facilities to cater to sightseer's needs. 

In terms of food and refreshments, Boscombe Beach has a wide range of excellent locations, such as Reefside Takeaway, Neptune Bournemouth, The Wood Oven, and Urban Reef, as well as numerous ice cream kiosks along the promenade. It has toilets (including for disabled people) all along its beachfront, as well as information offices should you need them. It has first aid posts and lost child centres to ensure your day is safe as well as fun. 

Regarding activities, there is opportunity for climbing boulders, slack lining, surfing, mini golf, table tennis, volleyball, fishing, and more here. As well as hiring equipment, beach huts, and beach pods, it's also possible to put down refundable deposits for a beach-friendly wheelchair or an electric beach BBQ on a first come, first served basis. All of this, paired with the idyllic views, helps to make for a fabulous day out for any visitor.

Parking

The closest parking to Boscombe Beach is at Boscombe Undercliff car park, or the small visitors car park near Boscombe Pier. Overstrand car park, just off Sea Road, is also nearby and has 70 spaces.
